
The Couserans Country is a rural and mountainous territory of 34,000 inhabitants extending around Saint-Girons (density: 18 inhab/km²). The Joint Association of Couserans Country is a public entity involved in providing strategic guidance and prospects for economic, social and cultural development, as well as tourism development. The Couserans has a territorial health network "EchoSanté" which involves medical, para-medical and social services (home help services, information and coordination centers, residences for the elderly or dependent, insurance services, etc.). The network was built in 2000 in response to a need for local inter-professional care coordination, with the support of the Regional Telemedicine Network of Midi-Pyrenees, associate partner of the project RESATER.

Silves comprises a vast area of 700km² with a population of 34,000, 2/3 of which reside outside the major urban center. In 2001 an integrated local network of social support was established in Silves by a resolution of the Council of Ministers. The network has brought together 32 partners, including health care institutions, associations and professionals. Silves forms a part of the Algarve's policy of the telemedicine network development.

INTRAS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to research, treatment and social services for people suffering from mental illness. It was established in 1994 from an initiative of a group of professionals from different fields (psychiatry, new technologies, social services) that sought to develop services and intervention programmes for people at risk of social exclusion or those with special social and health needs. It operates nationally, with greater intensity in Castile and León, particularly in the provinces of Valladolid, Zamora and Salamanca. INTRAS Foundation has a Department of Research, Development and Innovation, dedicated to the evaluation and creation of new technology programs in the field of neuropsychological intervention in order to promote quality of social and health care assistance (program Gradior).

Association for the Development of the Figeac Country, established in September 2004, aims to do develop, construct and contribute to the implementation of sustainable development strategies of the Figeac Country in the field of economy, social services, environment, culture and tourism and thus contribute to the revitalization of the area, as prefigured by Sustainable Development Charter of the Country. The Figeac Country has developed an action plan in terms of supply and accessibility of health services. A reflection on the relationship between the services and professionals was carried out in order to enable optimization of existing resources in a context of providing quality service.

The Asturian Federation of Councils (FACC), founded in 1995, is a public legal entity integrating 78 Councils of the Asturian Region in Spain, aimed at promoting and defending the municipal interests. The FACC represents all councils of the region in front of the administrative authorities. Main activities: representation, review and comments on legislation texts, providing advice to municipalities, continuous training, help with employment search, international relations, European projects, equal opportunities policy, territorial management, health and social services, culture and tourism, dissemination and awareness activities.

The Social Development Foundation is a nonprofit organization, established to promote cooperation and development of rural areas in Aragon. A multidisciplinary team manages programmes for various social groups, collaborating with public and private agencies.
SDF is currently focused on two main axes: social and environmental. The social axis is reflected in the management of residential and day care centers for senior citizens (43 places in Muniesa and 88 in Llueca), running the multifunctional Social Center in Pástriz and providing housing for young people in Alcalá del Moncayo. The environmental axis with is followed by the management of two Centers for Nature Interpretation, owned by the Aragon Government in Añón de Moncayo and Eriste.
